The 2003 Page Hazlegrove Artist-in-Residence was Chris Taylor, another recent RISD graduate, who spent much of June and July in the Glass Lab attempting to blow a glass glider that would fly. Methodically, Chris worked through various technical problems connected with material thickness, mold construction, and material composition, until achieving an object that approximately flew. During his residency at MIT, Chris met with scientists in aero/astro, and folding specialists Erik and Marty Demaine.
